In 2003, The IBM Corporation and Threshold formed a unique technology alliance to create an innovative, next-generation digital animation studio that would revolutionize the animation production process. Today that partnership continues as Threshold's technology team and IBM continually look to the future in order to create the most exciting and breathtaking experiences for audiences around the world.
Threshold is currently converting the $60 million computer animated film Foodfight! into stereoscopic 3-D. The film stars Charlie Sheen, Eva Longoria, Hilary Duff and Wayne Brady. The company previously completed Bionicle: The Legend Reborn, based on the billion-dollar toy brand of the same name, and LEGO: The Adventures of Clutch Powers, the first feature length film based on one of the most popular toys of all time. Threshold is also developing a computer-animated film based on the most popular spectator sport in the world, NASCAR. Universal Studios distributes these feature films on a worldwide basis for Threshold.
In the location based entertainment space, Threshold most recently completed the first ever interactive dark ride for the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre's Kingdom Quest and three different 4-D movies for LEGOLAND, HIT ENTERTAINMENT, MARVEL and MADAME TUSSAUDS.
